Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey meat, 1 egg, salt and black pepper. Mix to combine then form into 4 patties. Place the patties into a parchment lined plate, cover and refrigerate to firm up for 15 minutes.
  • Heat a large skillet on high heat then add 1 Tablespoon of olive oil. Place the onion rings into the hot oil and fry on medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side or until slightly charred then move the grilled onions to a plate.
  • To the same skillet, add a bit more olive oil then carefully place the turkey patties into the hot skillet and cook on each side for 4-5 minutes.
  • Next, add 2 slices of Arla Havarti Cheese to each patty then add 2 ice cubes to the skillet, cover and lower the heat to low to melt the cheese.
  • To build the turkey burgers, warm or toast your burger buns then add a bit of mayonnaise and ketchup the bottom bun, followed by lettuce, a slice of tomato, the turkey patty with the Arla Havarti Cheese, pickle slices, grilled onion, more lettuce, tomato and the top bun.
