Quesadillas with Steak and Pineapple Avocado Salsa

Serves four people

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon of ground red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 pinches of black pepper
  • 8 tortillas
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1½ cup Arla® Mild Cheddar Shredded Cheese

Pineapple and avocado salsa

  • 1 pineapple
  • 2 juiced lime
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 avocados
  • 1½ cup freshly chopped cilantro



Mix butter, paprika powder, salt and pepper. Brush on the meat. Grill 3-5 min on each side. Peel and cut the pineapple into 6 slices, cut away the stem. Grill the slices on high heat. Slice the pineapple thinly and place in a bowl. Stir together lime juice with sugar. Cut the avocado, remove the seed, and slice the flesh into cubes. Mix the lime juice, avocado and cilantro with the pineapple. Cut the meat into thin slices and distribute on four tortillas. Top with the shredded cheese. Add the remaining tortillas on top and press together lightly. Fry in butter for about 2 minutes on each side. Cut the quesadilla into pieces and serve with the salsa.
